Our therapy sessions are individualised to each child’s personality and specific needs. Our play based approach is designed to get the most out of each session, working towards specific targets, helping to make a real impact on a child’s speech and language goals.
HOW IT WORKS
Following an Initial Assessment, if therapy is indicated and desired, therapy sessions are scheduled.
These sessions are typically either 45 or 60 minutes long and incorporate a variety of techniques to ensure that your child has the best opportunity to progress with their personal speech and language goals.
The sessions involve working individually with your child, as well as, allowing time for discussion with you about how you can continue your child’s learning between sessions. Parent involvement and home practice is highly recommend for best results. Therapy activities will be demonstrated and explained, so you can support your child as effectively as possible.
We will be constantly reviewing your child’s needs throughout their therapy and update their goals and therapy plan as needed. It is important that therapy targets are reviewed at regular intervals and breaks from therapy are given, to allow your child to consolidate the new skills they have learnt.
The duration of therapy greatly depends on your child’s speech and language goals. A child with minor articulation or clarity difficulties may only need a few therapy sessions, whereas a child with more severe issues and other complicating factors may require therapy for a more sustained period.
Therapy sessions are either 45 or 60 minutes and cost £50 or £65 respectively.
