OUR FOUNDER

Meet Hannah

My name is Hannah Koeller. I founded Speaking Sense in 2012 after working in the public and private sector and seeing the need for a flexible, family centered approach to speech and language therapy. It is through this collaborative and fun, yet professional approach, that I believe children can truly develop and fulfil their communication potential.

I graduated in 2005, with a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy, and have over 15 years’ experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist. In the NHS, I have worked in a variety of settings and with children with a diverse range of needs. My experience includes working with Early Years and School-Aged children, Speech and Language Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Cleft Lip and Palate and Stammering. I am a specialist in Cleft Lip and Palate and have a particular interest in Speech and Language Disorders.

Speaking Sense is founded on the understanding that all change in this area takes time and commitment, and for this to be achieved, the service must be both collaborative and flexible to meet the needs of your family. I work with families, alongside education staff and other professionals, to ensure your child is supported and their individual needs are fully understood by everyone involved.
